What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of the mind where brainwave patterns are slowed down to almost a sleep-like trance. The word hypnosis is derived from the Greek word, ‘hupnos’ which means sleep.

Google defines hypnosis as:

Noun: the induction of a state of consciousness in which a person apparently loses the power of voluntary action and is highly responsive to suggestion or direction. Its use in therapy, typically to recover suppressed memories or to allow modification of behaviour, has been revived but is still controversial.

According to Wikipedia, hypnosis is “a human condition involving focused attention, reduced peripheral awareness, and an enhanced capacity to respond to suggestion.”

Hypnotherapy

Through the induction of a hypnotic trance into the beta-brainwave state, it is possible to modify behaviours and patterns. It is in this state that the subconscious mind becomes accessible. The therapist will then make suggestions to the client that will help to modify their behaviour towards a more acceptable or positive state of being.

Hypnotherapy is one of the most popular methods to deal with fears, phobias, anxiety and panic. It can help you overcome the factors in your own life that is causing you the greatest panic, fear and stress.

Two hypnotherapy sessions of 1 hour each. For best results, sessions need to be booked at least 7 days apart.

Stop Smoking

Hypnotherapy to Stop Smoking, along with your own willingness to kick the habit for good, can have phenomenal results. Smokers rationalise their smoking by claiming that smoking relaxes them. The truth is that cigarettes raise heart rate and hand tremors by a large percent. So much for relaxing!

This therapy consists of two hypnotherapy sessions of 1 hour each.
